david trubridge Flax pendant light Ø80cm bamboo Description
Top-designed Flax pendant luminaire made of sustainably sourced bamboo The Flax pendant luminaire is ideal for illuminating living and dining rooms, lounges or cafés. With its geometric design, it creates an atmospheric lighting mood in which everyone feels comfortable. The special texture of the shade creates an impressive play of light. The shade consists of many individual elements made of bamboo veneer, which are delivered flat in a cardboard box and are easily connected to each other according to the enclosed assembly instructions. The openings in the shade create a fascinating play of light with decorative shadows on the wall or ceiling. Even when switched off, the Flax pendant lamp is an aesthetic eye-catcher. The creative mind behind this design is David Trubridge. Trubridge comes from England, is actually a trained shipbuilder and now lives and works in his adopted country New Zealand. His designs are based on his observations of nature. In the realisation, he attaches great importance to sustainability and the conservation of natural resources. The wood for his works comes from sustainable plantation cultivation, the bamboo veneer for the Flax pendant lamp is produced without polluting materials. For ecological reasons, the lamps are delivered unassembled, as this reduces the volume of the products – high-quality, handcrafted design lamp
