The shelf is supplied with two of these handmade metal brackets (three for shelves of 120cm and longer). All fixings are provided. These metal shelf brackets are handmade in Yorkshire using the same traditional techniques that have been used for hundreds of years. Just like our shelves, these brackets are hand-waxed and handcrafted, meaning each piece has its own unique appearance and markings. Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home. Solid Pine Shelves Funky Chunky Furniture creates the finest handmade solid wood shelves. To make these rustic shelves we select top quality, kiln-dried pine. Each shelf is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Natures own stamp of approval. In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our shelving apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood, every shelf will be different. Truly unique and one of a kind. Please note, placing your shelf above a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features. All sizes and weights given are approximate. As the wax soaks into the different grains and features it enhances their look and brings it to life. Wax not only makes the timber look good, but it is also very durable. You can easily wipe away spillages. And cleaning is very simple. Just wipe with a clean cloth and warm water then leave to dry. But never use harsh chemical cleaners. The colours are: Walnut Teak Smoke Pine Medium Oak Rustic Pine When viewing on screen colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.
