You choose the shelf to suit you. Our floating shelves can only be installed onto solid walls. All fixings are provided with pre-drilled holes in the back. And full fitting instructions for easy installation. Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Solid Rustic Timber To make these rustic floating shelves we select top-quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each shelf is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature’s own stamp of approval. In this style, you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows, and twists along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our shelving apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood, every shelf will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Rustic timber. Please note that placing your item above or near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features. All sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another. 5 Fine Wax Finish Colours To finish these chunky wood shelves we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features it enhances their look and brings them to life. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples. Sabina on Assembly & Care Strong Fixings & Easy Installation When you receive your shelf, the packaging will also include fixings. We provide you with fixings that have been designed specifically for the installation of our wooden shelves and mantels into solid walls only. We would recommend fixing it to solid wall types only. The keyhole brackets are suitable for all wall types however we would always recommend consulting with a DIY professional or builder before purchasing to discuss fitting to alternative wall types, as this may require specialist fixings. We are not able to guarantee the shelf if you do not use the fixings we supply, if they are installed using alternative fitting methods, or if they are installed into alternative wall types. This will normally take 3 to 5 working days. They will then be dispatched and will usually be delivered within 1-2 working days providing that there are no courier delays.
