Not too hard and not too firm, the Signature Support divan bed combines pocket springs with natural fillings for a medium to firm feel. The mattress is fully upholstered in a 100 Viscose fabric and benefits from a hand tufted finish that ensures the fillings stay in place. Natural fillings such as cotton, help to regulate body temperatures by wicking moisture away, resulting a cooler sleeping surface. Sandwiched between these fillings are 1000 central pocket springs, with 2000 mini tablet springs on each side for additional comfort. Pocket springs are small in diameter compared to traditional open coils and housed in their own cloth sleeves for total flexibility. An added feature is its side stitched borders; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years for craftsmen to master. Side-stitching involves the outer rows of springs being sewn to the mattress border, using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle. Providing edge-to-edge support and increasing the sleeping area by 20, this highly skilled process ensures the mattress border will not bow out over time. The mattress is paired with a deep base divan that comes with a wide selection of fabric and colours, plus base types and a choice of drawer storage. Please note: Headboard is not included.
